Step 1 — build the spreadsheet
Fills Defra's own “Report receipt of waste” template with everything below, without touching its
formatting. Upload the file you get at
gov.uk/guidance/report-receipt-of-waste.
Do this at least every other working day: each load has 2 working days from the day after it arrived.

Step 2 — put the result back in
After you upload, Defra hand you the spreadsheet back with a waste tracking ID against each movement in
column B, and anything they rejected in column A. Drop that file here and it updates the log, so you keep
the tracking IDs you need for corrections and for your customers.
